Opera desktop browser’s recent update have now added free built-in VPN service that will allow users to bypass geo restrictions.

Opera claims to be the first ever browser that will provide built-in VPN to users and it says that there will no limitation to its use which means it be free as well as unlimited.

This means that we don’t need to download hotspot shield or any other VPN service to bypass geo restrictions to watch our favorite stuff or youtube videos.

For those who don’t know Virtual Private Network (VPN) service allows user to hide their location and is mostly used to bypass geo restrictions or for better privacy.

Opera says that speeds under the built-in VPN will be fast enough to stream HD content, although Full HD may require some buffering.

Opera also said they have no plans for any paid version, CNet reports and services given in the built in version are same as that of any other paid version of VPN.

How to Activate?

To activate it, MAC users just need to click the Opera menu, select “Preferences” and toggle the feature VPN on, while Windows and Linux users need to go to the “Privacy and Security” section in “Settings” and enable VPN there.
