HTC introduces two new flagship devices, the U Ultra and U Play today. It’s quite unseasonal early announcement of this flagship smartphones giving a new series of U flagship smartphones.
Like other smartphones maker, HTC introduced Artificial Intelligence (AI) Assistant into HTC U Ultra for the first time which HTC calls it as Sense Companion.
Strange things about this smartphone is that it has a second screen on the top side of the smartphone and it has no headphone jack like Apple’s latest iPhone 7, Lenovo’s Moto Z and HTC Bolt.
Talking about the features, it has a big 5.7 inches Super LCD5 with a Sapphire Crystal glass in its 128GB edition while 64GB edition has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 while U Play has 5.2 inches Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
Inside the devices, core features of U Ultra includes 2.15 GHz Quad Core processor and Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset with 4GB RAM while U Play has Octa Core processor with 4GB RAM.
HTC U Ultra is powered by latest Android 7.0 Nougat while U Play is powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow which may or may not be upgradeable to Android 7.0 in future.
HTC U Ultra has a selfie focused 16MP front camera with Ultrapixel mode while main camera is 12 MP with 4K video recording while U Play also has 16MP front camera but main camera differs with 16MP from U Ultra.
Battery of U Ultra is 3000mAh while U Play has a bit downgraded battery of 2500 mAh.
