Recently, Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) has been boomed with the new operating system update as it was already listed in the Wi-Fi Alliance, and now the Galaxy J5 Prime is foreseen to get the modern Android 7.0 Nougat as the phone is expected to probably present on the same list. So, it is possible your Galaxy J5 Prime is soon getting the new version of Android Nougat.

Astonishingly, Samsung has not officially unveiled the list of those smartphones getting the Android 7.0 Nougat update and the Galaxy J5 Prime is probably not even there on the list. But according to the SamMobile, the Samsung’s smartphone has been recognized by the Wi-Fi Alliance and it might get the new Android version.

The smartphone expected to get the new Android Nougat version was launched in the October 2016 carrying the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system.

The tech firms began powering the various Galaxy A-series handsets like the Galaxy A3 (2016), A3 (2017), A5 (2016), A5 (2017),  A7 (2016) and A7 (2017) with the latest Android Nougat update and then moved to the Galaxy J7 (2016) devices in Russia later.

Wi-Fi Alliance lists involve other devices such as Galaxy J5 (2016),  A8, A9 Pro, Tab An 8.0, Tab A 9.7, Tab E 8.0, and Tab E 9.7, referring that these gadgets will definitely get the new Android 7.0 Nougat update.

Other smartphones expected to enjoy the latest firmware update could be the Galaxy J7 Prime, J5 (2016), On7, C5, C7, C7 Pro, and C5 Pro.
