T-Mobile has announced that it is removing free unlimited LTE data roaming for the customers who are travelling to Canada and Mexico from United States.

T-Mobile is putting a 5GB data usage cap and after the limit is used up, they will be transferred to global speed tier of about 128 Kbps while One Plus customers will get 256Kbps.

“Mobile Without Borders is an incredible benefit and allows customers to stay connected when traveling in Canada and Mexico. In order to prevent usage beyond the intent of the product, we implemented a limit on the amount of monthly 4G LTE data,”

Company launched Mobile Without Borders back in 2015 for the customers who have simple choice plan that came with unlimited talk and text but greater cap on data usage.

Mobile Without Borders was an expansion of T-Mobile’s free international data roaming that was first introduced back in 2013.
