Oneplus has announced its new flagship phone Oneplus 6 at the launching event held in London, England and It is scheduled to release on 22nd of May. The most discussed aspect is that the company is bringing a notch at the top of the front screen for the first time, you can also say that a notch is considered an essential ingredient for smartphones at present.
Oneplus 6 specifications and features
Display screen and design:
The phone comes with 6.28 inches display screen with an aspect ratio of 19:9 covered all over in protective gorilla glass 5. It is the first phone of the company to introduce a notch and both back and front covered in Gorilla Glass 5. Oneplus 6 also comes with a headphone jack.
Cameras and Battery:
The phone supports usual Dual camera set up, primary camera is 16 megapixels and secondary camera is 20 megapixels respectively paired with both EIS and OIS sensors. The back camera also capable of shooting slow motion videos at the rate of 480fps in a 720p resolution.
Another camera feature of Oneplus 6 is a Portrait mode that is available for both front and back camera. Battery capacity is same as that of oneplus 5 and 5T which is 3,300 mAh.
Processor and Software:
Oneplus phone powered by Qualcomm chipset Snapdragon 845, which provide extra speed for operating. Adreno 630 graphics, and 6GB to 8GB of RAM variations. This model supports Android 8 Oreo (with Oxygen OS 5.1 on top) out of the box.
There are three storage options available 64GB, 128GB and 256GB set at different price level.
Oneplus 6 Security lock system:
Oneplus 6 comes with two unlock system, one is a fingerprint scanner rear-mounted, unlike other smartphones the company tried to make it a bit different and It is oval in shape rather than a circle. The other is face recognition technology which takes 0.4 seconds to unlock the phone.
Price and release date:
Price of Oneplus 6 starts from $529 for an entry-level 64GB/6GB variant, then comes the middle one 8GB/128GB variant with a price of $579, the top-end variant which is considered as the most expensive phone in Oneplus history ever is 8GB/256GB model for $629.
The stock is arriving at 22nd of May and its available across UK, Europe, India, and China. For the time being, only two color options are available Midnight black and Mirror black.
