Apple is going to repair some parts of the Apple Map


The launch of the Apple maps went poorly wrong and received severe criticism for it. After that CEO give an apology for data partnership, patching holes, transit locations, and promised improvements for the business, places but still it could not be a good service which facilitate people. For that reason, the company is now going to repair or rebuilding some parts of the Apple map app.

The newly revamped product will launch in the San Francisco, Bay area along with iOS 12 Beta and will available in Northern California later this year, eventually comes to all iOS versions. The updated maps will show roadways, construction, more detailed ground, foliage, pools, pedestrian pathways, every particular feature more precisely. Also, Apple was depended on two sources first is sensor-packed vans and the other is iPhone to provide the basis for the maps, these third-party data was the reason which had proved a drawback for Apple maps.

“Since we introduced this six years ago — we won’t rehash all the issues we’ve had when we introduced it — we’ve done a huge investment in getting the map up to par.

“When we launched, a lot of it was all about directions and getting to a certain place. Finding the place and getting directions to that place. We’ve done a huge investment of making millions of changes, adding millions of locations, updating the map and changing the map more frequently. All of those things over the past six years,” said Eddy Cue who now owned maps.”

According to TechCrunch, Apple maps soon will get more detailed highlights throughways, main streets and more importantly makes it easier to read. Apple is taking data from well-known mapping companies like TomTom and geo data brokers.

The company also wants to stand against its one and only competitor Google Maps which has been involved in this for over a decade and to make a prominent place will not going to be an easy task, on the top of that, rebuilding map is difficult. But its good to know the company has finally taken an initiative.
