Podcasts launch on 19th June with 2 Million products available at launch. The app features supportive mixing for new stuff. Previously, it had a podcast-collecting option existing in their Search app, but it wasn’t fully complete. But now there’s an app for this purpose and it’s free of cost.
The company is expecting to the new Podcasts app to bring in more than millions of new listeners worldwide. Previously Android users listened to podcasts either from Google Play Music or respective apps. The app works with the recommendation algorithms to help people to shows the stuff they might like consider listening in the past.
As to make it happen, users have to put in the name of their favorite podcast into Search to get related results. As for the app, there are no as such changes to the present podcast practice in Google Play Music. According to areport, the company is actually making rhythm into data it has assembled from the past with the help of an assistant. It means someone who had listened to a podcast through their Google Home speaker or the Google Assistant on their mobile phone will find the app loaded with listening suggestions.
The news was apparently publicized on Product Hunt and earlier by Google product manager Zack Reneau-Wedeen, but the app wasn’t accessible to download at that time. Currently, there is an option to download this app worldwide in 47 languages but on Android only.
Furthermore, an iOS app wasn’t available at launch. Google is likely to announce a Creator program for potential storytellers in the audio format. Users also have the choice to look for the web for shows which are not added by Google yet and can also put into them in the app.
