HBO’s Game of Thrones is a world-renowned series watched by millions of people, last year HBO aired 7th and the most interesting season of the series whereas on the other hand left the audience in the misery that final season won’t come back until 2019.
Well here comes the best news, Recently, HBO confirmed that channel has started working on a pilot for Game of Thrones prequel series, and it will be one of the five potential spin-offs from the series. The prequel will show thousands of years of history behind the ongoing event and scenario, The story composed by the book author George R.R Martin along with British screenwriter Jane Goldman who is best known for creating stories like X-men: first class and the Kingsman films.
The channel said in a statement, “Only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the White Walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend… it’s not the story we think we know.”
Besides, this project can go very long if the makers decide to picture every five potential spin-offs because it includes history, myths, truths about the iron throne, some dark secrets that we all are desperately waiting to encounter. As for the news, we know that HBO could roll out possibly the story of Robert’s Rebellion, the war fought by Ned Stark and Robert Baratheon and Aegon’s conquest when Targaryens come and take control over Westeros and rule for centuries. But…
“The world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour”, HBO said in a statement.
This might be pointing towards the first Night’s King, More specifically how Children of the forest made Night’s king who in return raise an army of the dead called the white walkers, the commander of the Night’s watch whose dark age embarks an era called the Long night. There is more plenty of stuff on which prequels can roll out like Azor Ahai, construction of the Wall, Brand the builder and so on.
However, not all of them will lead to a prequel series, If it happens then it’ll arrive long after Game of Thrones last season.
