Instagram is bringing an exciting feature for their Insta story which is the Background music for your stories. Starting today, this licensed music is now available for iOS and Android users in six countries. Users can now set soundtracks to their stories, with thousands of songs offered directly to add, it also includes popular music artist like Dua Lippa, Calvin Harris, Bruno Mars, Demi Lovato, and Maroon 5.

You can add songs through the Instagram’s sticker feature, just like sliders and polls, you have to drag and drop the new music feature for the background music, after that you can enjoy whatever you’re doing in the video to look amazing. You can also crop and scrub a chunk of your favorite part in the song and then set on your video or image. Though the company had previously added deep linking to Spotify in stories at F8 conference.

“Now you can add a soundtrack to your story that fits any moment and helps you express how you’re feeling,” Instagram writes

Earlier few days, Instagram revealed that its app has monthly 1 billion users the company also said that their story only has 300 million daily active users, which makes this feature more frequently used than Snapchat stories. Instagram also let the users play songs before the recording of a video so that it may appear as a various lip-sync apps out there, apart from that you can add background clashing music for a comedic effect. You just simply have to select the music option present below the record button.

For the time being, this feature is only accessible for limited countries presumably the countries where it could get a license for the music, but the company is trying to roll out this feature in rest of the countries as well. Instagram music could prove very useful for various music artist to get viral in no time, Also, it gives an edge to Instagram over other apps.
