Intel has decided to go one step ahead hence, unveils dual-screen notebook prototype for the first time at Computex 2018 called Intel tiger rapids. Just imagine how great it would be if we have a two in one gadget which can use as both laptop and an E ink notebook. This concept device is not going to release yet as it is only a blueprint to show manufacturers how technology can mold into different designs and ideas which eventually generates remarkable gadgets.
Tiger rapids feature a 7.9-inch full HD LCD on one side and a complementing E Ink screen on the other, both sides will operate by a single eighth-generation Core processor. Intel enhanced both its hardware and software this time it has incorporate malware which helps to develop a connectivity between the operating system and second screen. On the top of that, you have two options either to use the stylus for handwritten stuff or can use a virtual keyboard on E-paper display
Senior vice president and general manager of the Intel computing group said, “Conceptually, it’s not a one-size fits all world, You’re going to see secondary products of different shapes and sizes, people are going to do secondary displays, obviously we’re going to work on longer-term things like bendables and foldables.”
Intel assures 6 to 7 hours of battery life with its 12-WHr battery which can recharge by a USB-C port present on its edge. Intel tiger rapids added an anti-glare coating coupled with a matte finish on the LCD to give it an extra fine and premium look. Also, it is portable, light, thin, easy to carry, and both of its screens sustain their readability even in bright sunny outdoor. Although, Intel has not said anything about when they will making this prototype into a real product or any other manufacturing details. Maybe in the time ahead, if we lucky enough then we will see dual screen laptops soon.
