Banning players over cheating and cheat code is not new it happens every now and then, especially when players got banned for cheating in Pokemon Go. Therefore, in a post, Niantic provided some details over his three-strike discipline policy for Pokemon Go players, like all the Game maniacs have to keep in mind these rules and regulations to not being banned for lifetime.
“Everyone can make mistakes. That’s why we have created this policy to enable offenders to learn from their mistakes and change their ways. If you have been issued a strike, don’t ignore it. Take action to ensure that you do not commit any further transgressions,” Niantic said in a post.
Mostly we do not pay attention to warning until something consequential happens, At first strike punishment, when a player breaks the rule notice of seven days probation period is issued. If somehow the player keeps breaking rules the probation period grow to suspension and then termination.
If the first issue strikes while playing you will see a warning message in the Go app which tells you that they have detected your cheating. Besides warning, your stages or levels also get affected that you will not encounter rare pokemon in the game as it may not appear on the map or detected by the tracker. This will last for 7 days after that your gameplay will be fully restored.
Later, if you hit with a second strike, you temporarily lose access to the account and unable to log in, too, a message is issued stating about the suspension of the account, this period will last for 30 days after which you gain access to your account like before. After the first and second strike, on third warning, your account will permanently be banned.
The transparency from Niantic is a very positive and undoubtedly a good step to be taken, but plenty of players still confused whether they are breaking the rules or not, maybe, Niantic should provide more details about his new three-strike policy so that no inconvenience happens in future. These actions are necessary because Cheating is considered as violating terms, conditions, guidelines which include GPS location spoofing and unauthorized access of game.
