PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) has become available since December 2017 on Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X, through Xbox game preview. At Gamescom 2018, the game developers announced the Xbox one version will leave the game preview on September 4th, making the battle royale game available in beta to the official full product.
Not only it will be available in its beta extended version, but also PUBG Xbox One will get a bundle of features on PUBG Mobile and PUBG PC such as Event Pass, and Sanhok map. Apart from these features, the 1.0 update will also bring new weapons and dynamic weather changes, War Mode deathmatch, and in-game microtransactions for cosmetic items. The limited edition of Xbox-branded cosmetic DLC will too become available for new and current players once it releases.
As its early access back in December, the developers keep on adding the features over the course of time, also because it is live and online medium game the team admitted the game bugginess and instability by announcing a high-profile “Fix PUBG” campaign.
Back to the Sanhok map which is the most talked feature, inspired by the islands across Southeast Asia, and has 4×4 compact battleground. Sanhok will introduce new battle vehicles for the dynamic weather changes that happen first time on Xbox One. On the other hand, War mode is like a deathmatch-style in which the players hunt each other in a static mode, snatching the parachute and weapons once you are dead on the field.
The event pass feature will allow you access to more missions, levels, stages, and rewards you get on the Sanhok map. Microsoft has also decided to launch a limited edition PUBG Xbox One controller which features “new and exclusive trigger grips” and comes in a digital camo design. The controller price is $69.99 and you can pre-order it now while the shipment begins from 30th October.
