On Thursday, LG’s Youtube channel and press site released a video and a press release which confirms a new model LG V40 ThinQ, features a five-camera setup from which three cameras are rear-mounted and two present on the front respectively.
The announcement also confirms that it will have a slightly larger 6.4-inch screen than its previous model. V40 ThinQ will be available in three color options “Platinum Gray,” “Carmine Red,” and “Morokan Blue.” Apart from its Five cameras set up a fingerprint scanner can also be visible below the cameras in LG’s latest teaser trailer that matches earlier leaks. Although in previous leaks it is not confirmed what would be its front looks like, now the recent information unveils it has an edge-to-edge notched display.
If we talk about the rear cameras, like most of the smartphones one lens will have a wide angle lens and the other comes with an ultra-wide angle lens. This arrangement becomes a signature feature of LG smartphones, furthermore, LG said that it will have a “silky” glass back, the rear glass keep its strength and hardness to remain a tempered glass which makes it scratch, fingerprint, and dirt-resistant, but soft to the touch, Whereas the metal frame has a glittery effect.
Last year, LG introduces a major shift in its V series, just like V10 and V20 experimented with removable batteries and secondary ticker displays. Later, V30 comes with a slick glass back, having slim bezels, and an OLED screen made by LG itself. Now the recent V40 which is expected to acquire some of its predecessors’ similarities and features, anyhow, it will all be confirmed at the LG event where the company officially unveils every detail about V40 ThinQ held on October 3 in New York City.
