Tesla new software update which is the ninth version has officially launched now, it includes new Dash camera feature, improved navigation, and Atari games. It is version 9.0 and now available on all Tesla cars, owners only have to connect their cars to the WiFi hotspot to get the updated version.
Tesla new software update adds Navigation features with detailed directions on Map and more information about the exits and turns on the highway. Another new feature from the 9.0 update is that it could reduce the acceleration at low speed when the car sees an obstacle in its path. More importantly, the company said it will lower the accident risk whereas the display behind the Steering wheel shows every kind of Vehicles like bikes and trucks.
Also, All eight external cameras of its car are active which provides a “full 360-degree” view to create a better situational understanding on the road. The next massive feature of the new update is the Atari games, which can also be played when the car is parked. It operates by using a combination of touchscreen and steering wheel controls.
Lastly, Tesl Model 3 is getting a calendar and web browser in version 9.0, climate control is also integrated with it. Tesla said that the new update will run the Navigate in shadow mode which allows the car’s brain to pretend the feature is working. Navigate will release to its US customers in beta, and according to the company more advanced form of Autopilot feature will be released by the same month.
The company claims that Navigate is the most enhanced form Autopilot which guides itself with driver supervision, can suggest and confirms lane changes, handle highway interchanges and exits.
Tesla says, “Navigate is designed to make finding and following the most efficient path to your destination even easier on the highway.”
Currently, the company is also working on a blind spot monitoring by using rear and side facing cameras to help the rear-facing ultrasonic sensors detect to carefully watch the incoming car.
