Some new details of an unannounced Motorola Moto G7 Power variant revealed, According to a newly uncovered FCC listing which first discovered by XDA developers. The Moto G7 powers join the Moto G7, G7 Plus, and the recently leaked Moto G7 play will likely to launch next year. Power is a new variant for Motorola G series that previously featured in Play, Plus, and standard variants.
The main feature in Power devices will be its massive batteries, In the FCC filings, Motorola revealed that it will have a 5,000mAh capacity. If you compared then that’s a two-thirds increase over the Moto G6’s 3,000mAh battery. To make space for this huge battery, the company is upsizing the Moto G7 Power variant to be taller and wider than its Moto G7 model.
The measurements will be 159mm tall by 76mm wide, As per some rumors, it will have a notched 6.22-inch display. Though, no official information is present on the size of the display and bezels. According to XDA-Developers‘ source, the power variant equipped with lower specs than the Standard model. Like having a Snapdragon 632 instead of the Snapdragon 660. The Moto G7 Power is also speculated to have four models ranging between 2GB-6GB of RAM and 32/64GB of storage space.
All these combined factors will push the Moto G7 Power’s battery life range to two or more days because that’s what Moto G series is known for. The battery life also linked up with the company’s previous Power variant phone, the Motorola One Power that promised a two-day battery life but only launched in India. Motorola Moto G7 power FCC listing is the main indicator of its future arrival stateside.
However, not much information is available on the power variant except for the dimensions.
