Instagram just changed the way users scroll through their feed from going vertical scrolling to side-to-side. Just because of this bug in Instagram’s new system test, voice of complaints from users began. It puzzled many members while photo and video sharing.
Instagram said on Thursday that it unexpectedly introduced design changes to a large number of users and quickly ended the test after complaints from users of Facebook-owned social networks. Instagram users found it bit confusing, the application have more than 1 billion users worldwide.
The company apologized as the feed was temporarily changed to the specification to be viewed by side scrolling due to a bug. Currently horizontal scrolling is canceled and normal vertical scrolling has been fixed.
Adam Mosseri, the company’s representative, told bugs from users that their own Twitter account “This time (viewing posts by side scrolling) system should have been done as a small test However, it has spread beyond our expectations.”
A test that was orders of magnitude more than expected. I am sorry for that.” he said.
Number of users who actually used the lateral scroll specifications said, “Even if you post multiple photos, for swiping sideways, it’s hard to understand the posting change.”
“What happens to the camera startup with side scrolling to the left?” said another. “It was better” the response was posted on Twitter.
The move sparked complaints on Twitter, and the tag #InstagramUpdate became a hot topic. Twitter user Jeffree Star lamented “This #instagramupdate has almost destroyed my morning!!” and online service Cheddar reporter Alex Heath said it “may seem to be to reduce unconscious vertical scrolling?”
“Because of a mistake, some users have seen changes in the way their feeds appear today,” Instagram said on Twitter. “We solved the problem quickly and the feed returned to normal. We apologize for any confusion.”
Some Instagram users are still dissatisfied with this failure and are giving suggestions to never allow this change to happen.
