Samsung Galaxy A8s

After so many leaks and rumors, Samsung finally unveils the much-awaited Smartphone which consists an Infinity-O hole-punch display. The Samsung Galaxy A8s features a distinctive hole punch design for the selfie camera to be located at the top left of the screen. The cutout of the hole is 6.7mm and that is installed with a 24MP front-facing camera.

This infinity-O display crafted from LCD rather than AMOLED and contains a 6.4-inch (2340 x 1080 pixel) display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The company claims that they wanted to introduce new features on Mid-range phones because of Chinese branding Smartphones in the market like Huawei who is the biggest competitor of Samsung so far. Now with Samsung Galaxy A8s, they are ready to compete in the market.

The A8s is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 that comes either with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of onboard storage with up to 512GB of that can be expanded via microSD. On the rear side of the phone, it features the same triple-camera array as the Galaxy A7. The handset runs on Android 8.0 Oreo OS, it will be available to pre-order in China from the 21 December and comes in blue, green and silver variants.

As we all know 2018 was a year for display notches then 2019 is going to be a year of Hole-punch display. Along with the A8s announcement the company confirmed another three handsets with a hole-punch display. On the other hand, Huawei is also going to launch Huawei’s Nova 4 on December 17th. Samsung’s 2019 S10 flagship is also speculated to feature the Infinity-O display but the company has not confirmed yet.

There is no word yet by the company on the pricing of Samsung Galaxy A8.
