Samsung doesn’t want its customers to wait for new products (or upgrades for that matter) till the ringing bells of the new year. So, it has started already with an updated version of the Notebook 9 Pen laptop which now comes in a new “15-inch size”, in addition to the old 13-inch version. As for most of the Notebook 9 Pen, it doesn’t seem that different from last year’s model.
However, a few new features promised by the tech giants are The latest 8th Gen Intel processors, gigabit Wi-Fi, two Thunderbolt 3 ports and a single regular USB-C plug, along with a headphone/mic jack and a microSD slot.
One of the big new updates for Notebook 9 Pen is an improved S Pen. The new S Pen for the Notebook 9 Pen now offers improved latency.
The new S pen will be more accurate and double the speed of the previous S pen. Hence it will be a much better using experience for their valued customers. Says Samsung.
Previously, only the regular Notebook 9 model offered the larger size, but now both sides are coming in the convertible 2-in-1 model also. The new S Pen comes in a bright yellow color, to match the blue laptop, a color combination Samsung introduced with its flagship phone earlier this year.
Without actually getting a hand on the new model, it is hard to tell whether Samsung has really solved the bigger problems with the current Notebook 9 Pen, including the cheap-ish feel, slower S pen interaction and the poor battery life. Samsung has promised no specific release window for the Notebook 9 pen, but hopefully, we’ll keep you posted as we get more information on actual specifications of the system and price tag of the model, being claimed to be a big improvement.
