Lenovo has announced new Yoga S940 which is the latest model of Yoga series, back then in 2016, the company released Yoga 910 in which they tried to slim down the bezels of the screen but the Chin spoiled the Look. Now, in this latest model, Lenovo finally removed the Chin from the screen making it an impressive display.
Lenovo new Yoga S940 features a 13.9-inch panel and will gives you two display option either a 4K variant with HDR400 support or 1080p model with Dolby Vision HDR. The most interesting thing that comes in this new model is the use of contoured glass, the glass is like rounded and wraparound glass that we have seen in many modern Smartphones, helps in making the Yoga S940’s bezels look even thinner. It is the world’s first laptop to have contoured glass on the display.
Above the display is a is a built-in infrared (IR) camera that lets you sign in with facial recognition. The company also claims that it has AI sensors that can tell when you walk away from the laptop and will automatically lock the screen.
Another factor which trims the display Bezels is the Webcam placement, Lenovo has reversed notch up top to fit the Webcam in by keeping the bezels slim. Lenovo new Yoga S940 runs on Intel’s 8th Gen Core i7 processors, with 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage. The laptop has also two USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports, and a single regular USB-C port. Moreover, the company is planning to launch Yoga S940 in May with a price range starts from $1,499.99.
Lastly, the laptop has support for the with far-field mics which can be used from a distance, you will also have an option to use voice matching so that assistant can only respond to your voice. Lenovo will reveal more information at the CES 2019 about Yoga S940 model.
