Samsung has announced that it will hold an event on 20th February in San Francisco where they are expected to launch its next Flagship Galaxy S10 and foldable phones. Samsung said that it is there 10th anniversary of the Galaxy S series and the invitation prominently features the number 10.
The phone is expected to be the first Smartphone which will have 5G wireless networks, and of course, the faster wireless standard is also developing this year. Another version of the phone which will be revealed at the event is the foldable phone, the company announced it in July that they are working on foldable screen tech. But Samsung plans to be on Number one in launching this tech is beaten by Chinese Startup Royale which yesterday launched its FlexiPai foldable phone.
According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, at that event, Samsung will show a fully functional version of its foldable phone along with three versions of Samsung flagship Galaxy S10 whereas a higher-end forth model will come in spring with 5G connectivity.
Samsung has already delayed its event because of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona which is the massive trade show. MWC 2019 is likely to be a huge event for the 5G technology, also, it’s possible that Samsung will save some details of its 5G Galaxy S10 for the summit in Spain. Moreover, 2019 is going to be a better year for Samsung’s Mobile business.
As 2018 was not a good one because the Galaxy S9 failed to meet the sales expectations and of people, Surpisingly this week the company issued a low fourth-quarter earnings forecast warning of lower smartphone profits amid strong competition. Reportedly, Samsung has told partners that foldable phone might not be released as early as in April, a name for the foldable phone has not given yet. The company is considering names like “Fold,” “Galaxy Fold” and “Galaxy F,” the WSJ reported.
