Samsung has launched its new Galaxy M series in India today to compete with Chinese rivals like Xiaomi. The two Andriod Handset M10 and M20 both include Samsung’s new “Infinity-V” teardrop display which is designed to be successors to the A series of handsets. Samsung is currently targeting millennials with Galaxy M device for its launch the company has partnered with Amazon India.
Both the Smartphones are made in India, therefore, the aim is to target the Indian market. The galaxy M20 has a 6.3-inch display (1080 × 2340) with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, it is powered by the new Exynos 7904 quad-core processor. It will run on UI 9.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system but Samsung has promised an update to Andriod pie 9.0 by August.
Samsung is offering two variants the Galaxy M20 coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, or 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
Samsung is including a 5,000 mAh battery on the Galaxy M20 which will give it a good battery life in such a budget-friendly Smartphone. Talking about Galaxy M10 which has a 6.22-inch display (720 × 1520) with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Exynos 7870 which will make it more power efficient.
Samsung Galaxy M10 has a smaller battery 3,400 MaH, both the devices have dual rear cameras, with a 13-megapixel F1.9 main camera, alongside an ultrawide five-megapixel F2.2 camera set up. The device also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, a USB-C, and headphone jack on both the Galaxy M20 and M10.
Samsung is struggling with its market image and wanted to give competition to all Chinese Smartphone makers because the gap between Samsung and other companies in Indian markets have increased. Samsung new Galaxy M series is designed to regain the top position in 2019. Talking about the price, the Galaxy M10 price starts at Rs. 7,990 ($112), and the Galaxy M20 starts at Rs. 10,990 ($155).
Both will be available in ocean blue and charcoal black variants and starts selling from February 5th at Samsung’s online store or Amazon.
