Vivo Apex 2019 is the follow-up model of last year concept smartphone which introduced the pop-up selfie camera. But the apex phone is not going to be ship in this exact form, next month the company is taking it to the Mobile world congress. We will see some of its features displayed in the company product lineup over the next year.

Just like the last year’s Apex phone, the Vivo Apex 2019 supports screen-to-body ratio and slim bezels as we can see there is no physical button and port opening rather features a Super Unibody curved glass design. There is no Headphone jack or even a USB-C port, as far as Charging is concerned it will be handled by a rear-mounted magnetic connector.

One thing to be mentioned here, Vivo has not released a phone with conventional wireless charging yet. The Apex 2019 is Vivo’s first 5G smartphone that makes use of Qualcomm’s X50 5G modem, the company said that they are using new stacking technique to make 20 percent of extra motherboard space for the 5G components without changing the phone’s overall design.

Apex 2019 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor coupled with 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. Moreover, there is a dual camera set up on the backside of the phone but the company has not provided any further details on it. The phone has expanded the in-display fingerprint sensor which provides you a wider area to unlock the phone. Vivo called this tech full-display fingerprint scanning which covers the entire display of the phone while the previous Apex scanner was Half display.

Another main feature which will come in Apex 2019 screen is the body sound casting technology which helps the seamless design by vibrating the screen to ack as a speaker and removing the need for the grills. However, there is a small opening at the bottom of the phone which appears to be for a microphone.
