Apple has finally confirmed that they’re holding an event on the 25th of March, and they had already sent invites to members of the press and other guests for 25th March event. The tagline and animation of the invitation clearly tell us that Apple’s long-rumored TV service and Apple News subscription service would be announced at the event.
The words printed on the invitation is ‘it’s show time’ seems to hint that the new TV service will play a big role. Apple had used the same tagline at the event of 2006 where the company unveiled its then-future Apple TV product. Rumors of 25th March event begin last month, saying Apple is currently focused exclusively on services.
However, there is also a chance that we might get some information on the revamped AirPods, a new entry-level iPad, and the long-delayed AirPower wireless charging pad. Apart from the TV service, Apple is also anticipated to take wraps off its Apple News subscription service. This Apple news service will offer a Netflix-style bundle for magazines and subscription newspapers.
Reported earlier, Apple is planning to release its seventh generation iPad along with the updated iPad mini 5. The company does not plan to revamp the design for this new model will consist of the same enclosure and retains Touch ID and a headphone jack. It might be possible Apple wants to increase the size of iPad chassis, or compress the larger display into the 9.7-inch version’s enclosure, remains to be seen.
Moreover, the event will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple’s new campus in Silicon Valley. The theatre was first used in 2017 September for the announcement of the iPhone X and other products. Apple has held events at other locations as well like school in Chicago or an arts center in Brooklyn.
