The total shipments of the HUAWEI Mate 20 series have exceeded 10 million units in just 4 and a half months. Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) also confirmed that all the previous records of previous Mate-series and P-series sales have been broken by Mate 20 series for the same time duration in Greater China.
The popularity of the Mate 20 series continues to increase as well in Western Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and other regions. The series received widespread acknowledgment and praise from the world’s top technology media alongside with the very good sale only because of innovative ID design and excellent performance.
Regarding this, Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei’s consumer business said on Weibo:
“In four and a half months, Huawei’s Mate 20 series shipments broke 10 million units! Thanks to the support, praise and recognition of global consumers, and the pertinence given by everyone. It is suggested that there will be more breakthroughs in 2019 and I look forward to sharing with you the joy of technological advancement !”
An increase of 66 times in eight years was represented when global smartphone shipments exceeded the 200 million units mark, it was announced by the company in December last year. The shipments of Mate 20 series at 5 million units were reported by the company at that time. Now, this year these shipments are increased to 7.5 million units.
Huawei’s consumer business income has touched $52 billion, which is the largest revenue of Huawei’s BG business. As in the year 2018, the company’s smartphones shipment crossed 206 million units. According to the reports, the company is trying to increase its mobile business by around 30 percent to 50 percent year-on-year.
In an interview, President of Handset Business of Huawei Consumer Business Group, Kevin Ho said:
“Looking to the future, everything we do in Huawei CBG will continue to begin and end with consumers. Our ultimate goal is to lead the transformation of the smart device industry and deliver an inspired, intelligent experience to consumers across all scenarios.”
Huawei’s Consumer Business President He Gang has confirmed that the company is trying to increase the shipments from 230 million units to 250 million units this year. However, He added that it depends on market conditions.
