Dark mode is the hottest trend nowadays in the app, therefore, Slack is the latest to join this trend by offering a dark mode feature to its users. It is not available for users yet, they are just rolling out to the beta testers for both iOS and Android.
In order to get the Slack dark mode, Fist you have to be a part of the beta testing program. You can join it by going to the settings and scroll down to the “Join Beta” section. Then you have to provide your name and Email address. Once approved you have to update the app accordingly and then you would allow to turn the mode on in settings. In the Andriod phone, it prompts you to restart the app while the iOS version will automatically switch.
To enable the dark mode in Slack for iOS you have to go into the setting of the iPhone, at there you will see a dark mode toggle. Then simply flip the switch the app will revamp itself into a dark interface. Talking about the design, it has a dark grey color not true black like other dark interfaces we’ve seen so far.
On the other hand, iOS is reportedly working to add a system-wide Dark Mode to iOS, Also, several reports have pointed that numerous applications are under process recently to add a new dark theme or begin testing one. For the time being, it is not confirmed yet when this Dark Mode interface will move from beta testing to public release for Slack.
Earlier this year, Andriod Q leaks point out that Google might be planning to roll out a system-wide dark mode, whereas if we look at the developer build which revealed last month that Google Chrome will also get the option later this spring.
