China’s Vivo Apex is literally all screen on the front, the concept of ‘no notches, thin bezels, virtually no ports or buttons’ has come to its logical conclusion with Vivo apex 2019. According to the future vision of the company, the possibility to make a phone having no hole or port is totally practical.

At an event in Hong Kong, Vivo introduced their newest technology to the world, Apex, has no ports at all, 5G connectivity, and a fingerprint sensor which is present all over the screen. The single fingerprint for things like unlocking the device can be used or you can require two separate fingerprints for extra security in things like banking apps.

A single piece of glass is used to shape up the whole body of Vivo Apex 2019. The company urges the world that it was a very difficult task to achieve.

The physical buttons are replaced with the uses of the combination of capacitive and pressure sensors to simulate the volume and sleep buttons, which give tactile sensation when you touch them. The conventional USB port has been removed and a magnetic connector that clings to the back of the phone to charge it known as Magport is used. E-sim is required if you want to use the phone because there is no sim slot also.

Screen Sound Casting technology used in the previous Apex concept is again seen in this phone allowing it to ditch conventional speakers and use its screen instead. Most of us will prefer this method and its good that Vivo was able to implement it in such high quality.

Other specifications include Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, 5G connectivity and vapor-chamber cooling, It’s probably waterproof. The rear camera is a dual, 13/12-megapixel one without flashy new features, Vivo Apex has a battery capacity of 2,000mAh.

Touch anywhere on the OLED display to unlock the phone is the biggest issues with fingerprint sensors, it limits users to pressing a tiny area of the screen to unlock a device have been solved.
