A new in-app web browser which comes equipped with cutting edge security mechanisms is going to be introduced by the WhatsApp. Users will soon be able to enjoy the web inside WhatsApp, rather than having to move to a different piece of software according to the latest version of the beta software.
One step ahead is taken by the messaging app which must be appreciated by users. According to WABetaInfo:
“WhatsApp’s new web browser will use ‘Safe Browsing’ tech to make sure people can’t fall victim to cybercrooks.”
Everyday new victims are searched and tracked by hackers. The most important and easy weapon they use for their crime is the fake links. They distract users by these fake links and fool them by clicking on them. But safe browsing technology is there for you to save you from these kinds of fools.
Safe browsing technology highlights these fake links as well as they give a warning to the users before they visit these kinds of links. This technology will not allow you to open these links without actively choosing to click through. The taking of screenshots or video recordings is also said to be forbidden by the in-app browser.
The plus point is that the In-app browser will operate in such a way that it will not allow Facebook or WhatsApp to see your content or whatever you are searching on your in-app web. It can be due to the agreement with Mark Zuckerberg’s ‘privacy-focused vision’, and it is also the future of Facebook.
WebView v66 software is used by Safe web technology which is introduced in the Android 8.1 last year. We cannot say much about when will this web technology be introduced or developed for iOS. Safe web technology will be safer to use and the in-app web technology will be a time saver for all the WhatsApp and internet fans.
