Security company Wyze has launched its newest and cheapest $20 home security system called Wyze sense. The Wyze sense kit ships with a motion sensor, two contact sensors and a bridge system that connects them to the aforementioned cheap camera. These sensors are almost the size of a quarter as per the company.
It sends alerts to the connected app when something is moved. Wyze home sensors can be mounted to doors or a refrigerator to let you know when they’ve been left open. These new Wyze sense system is an affordable set of sensors for monitoring entryways into your home, including doors and windows, and keeping track of any unusual motion activity.
The whole security system works through the Wyze cam line paired with three sensors is what the company is calling the Wyze Bridge. The bridge plugs into the back of the Wyze security cameras while connect sensors are designed for placement on a door or window to detect when it is opened. Obviously, the motion sensors are designed to detect movements or area where any motion happened.
It connects with the back of one of the existing cameras Wyze Cam or Wyze Cam Pan which will connect the whole set up of the cameras with the internet. From there you can surveil everything through Wyze’s mobile app. The sensors can itself activate Cam’s recording feature when movement is detected.
The device would go on sale via Wyze’s mobile app, considering the system requires the Wyze Cam. Therefore, the company is targeting existing customers currently. Wyze Sense starts shipping on May 7th, the company says. This is not the only product which is available for home security you can also go for Modular Home security firm SimpliSafe’s new Smart standalone video doorbell with heat sensors and motion detectors. It is the company’s first device which is made for the outdoors and not for the inside of the home.
