Mi Max 3

Xiaomi is ready to enter the 5G bandwagon with their new Mi Mix 3 phone having a 5G modem. The company announced it in a press conference held in Barcelona. The specifications of the 5G Mi Mix 3 is almost similar to the Mi Mix 3 which was launched in October 2018. However, the company has claimed that they have integrated a larger 3,800mAh capacity battery and admits there is a slight difference in size and weight too.


Xiaomi said that it has a 93.4-percent screen-to-body ratio and it will steal your attention with such a massive display. The ability to shoot slow-motion videos at 960 frames per second is also available, thanks to the two cameras on the back side of the phone. Four pixels are combined into one for better low-light selfies by Super Pixel Technology. Ceramic is used for the body of the phone.

Xiaomi has opted for the Snapdragon 855 system-on-a-chip the same chipset like the Samsung Galaxy S10, anyhow the company is using Qualcomm’s X50 5G modem for Mi Mix 5G. The device supports 10w wireless charging and it comes with a wireless charger. you can also enjoy 10GB of RAM, but for that, you’ll have to buy the sapphire-blue version – The first for a smartphone.

Xiaomi has used their artificial intelligence (A.I.) features too, scene recognition, studio lighting effects, and A.I driven beauty modes in a very good manner with the help of their front and rear cameras. A voice assistant, which is available in seven different Chinese dialects and It’s not Google Assistant, however, but instead, Xiaomi’s own Xiao A.I. assistant listens to you in Mi 3 and is only one button away.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 comes with the 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage space, and costs start around $475. The Palace Museum version of  10 GB/256 GB will be about $720. Currently, there are only two color options available in this model. On the development of the 5G Mi Mix 3, Xiaomi has been working with several networks including Three, Orange, TIM, and Vodafone.

Chipmaker Qualcomm’s president, Cristiano Amon, at this press conference stated that:

“5G is here. Not in 2020, not in late 2020 – it’s here right now in 2019. 2019 is the year of 5G,” he claimed.

The company has not announced the selling of this phone in the US yet.
