HMD Global launches its brand new smartphpne, Nokia X71 with a 48 megapixel camera and a perforated screen to house the front camera.
Following the footsteps of theHonor and Huawei Nova 4, the company made decision to launch. It is the first smartphone of the Finnish company to integrate a screen pierced for the front camera and a rear camera of 48 MP.
The new Nokia X71, launched in Taiwan, is a mid-range smartphone, as evidenced by its Snapdragon 660 processor. Nevertheless, it comes with 6 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of expandable storage.
In addition, under the hood it has a battery with a capacity of 3500 mAh, under the lower edge a USB-C port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a rear fingerprint sensor.
For the software part, users will find Android Pie. Unfortunately, unlike many Nokia devices, it does not rely on the Android One program. The LCD screen at the front measures 6.39 inches with a 19.3: 9 ratio, and a full HD+ resolution. Regarding the dimensions of the X71, the smartphone measures 157.19 x 76.45 x 7.98 mm while it weighs 180 g.
For the camera part, the smartphone has a triple photo sensor configuration, with Zeiss certified lenses. These sensors are probably the most interesting plus point of the X71.
The camera is composed of a 48 megapixel (f / 1.8) sensor, an 8 megapixel sensor (ultra wide-angle to 120 degrees) and a 5 megapixel depth sensor. This means that the X71 should be able to take detailed shots and remarkable zoom at an affordable cost.
In simple terms, it is a beautiful mid-range smartphone from a company that is trying to create stronger competition among brands in this market. The pre-orders for the device begin next week in Taiwan.
This year, Sony’s new 48 megapixel sensor has also proven itself. The Nokia X71 would be sold for 11,900 TWD in its native country, which is equivalent to about $ 386.
HMD, however, has not yet communicated as to marketing in other countries.
