Today, Bose has revealed and updated the website with its new flagship device, the much-awaited successor to its popular QuietComfort 35 the noise cancelling headphones 700. The headphones are priced at $399 but look nothing like the existing QC35 IIs and will not replace those more affordable cans. The company has also unveiled two new sets of totally wireless earphones, one of which is noise canceling, the Noise Cancelling Earbuds 700.
The shipping date of headphones is 30th June, the other two wireless models, Earbuds 500 is expected to launch in late 2019, whereas the Noise Cancelling Earbuds 700 is slated for a 2020 launch.
“After years of development, we’re thrilled to introduce Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700,” its website states. “They’re much more than a product refresh — they’re a defining moment in headphone evolution. Smarter and more capable than anything we’ve ever done before, you’re about to see how Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 will become an indispensable tool for surviving our ever-increasingly hypermobile world.”
The design of these noise cancelling headphones looks far slicker than that of the QC 35s. They consist of a USB-C port which was overdue from the company. Bose claims 20 hours of “full-featured” playback. However, the shape of the headband is immediately reminiscent of Sony’s 1000X M3s, which remain the most comfortable NC headphones anyone has made yet.
The company has made voice Assistant the main feature of these headphones, claiming that you would remain connected to your phone without even looking at it. Google Assistant, Alexa, and Siri await to answer your calls. Bose said that the Noise cancelling headphones are much more than just a product. Furthermore, the headphones are packed with enhanced noise cancelling function, an unrivaled microphone system, and intuitive touch controls. They could also be enabled with Bose AR, the company’s audio augmented reality platform.
Both noise cancelling earbuds 500 and 700 will support Bose AR feature. Bose believes that they have the world’s best microphone system ever built into a pair of headphones. They have four mics and the company is sure about their noise cancellation and voice isolation capabilities. The headphones are now adjustable with 11 different intensity settings.
