Samsung is one of the few phone manufacturers that has a solid history of innovation, even if it doesn’t always work out. Despite some recent setbacks and bad news, expectation for Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 is sky-high.
Firstly, the popular Samsung insider Ice Universe has revealed the Galaxy Note 10 won’t be the game-changer many were expecting, while talking to the twitter. Before he stated, that several of the changes Samsung has made may not go down well. On further tweet he said that the positions of the Galaxy Note 10 cameras are the “two biggest changes” and he doesn’t like either. He has already said that any new camera hardware is not present in Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and simply reuse Galaxy S10 optics, which are already lagging behind Huawei’s P30 Pro, Google’s Pixel 3 and the $400 Pixel 3a. In another tweet, he revealed that:
Note10 is the optimization and perfection of Galaxy S10 and Note9. Samsung’s positioning for Note is “stable and mature”, and the positioning of Galaxy A is “radical innovation”
Samsung insider Ice Universe also claimed, that revealed the handset may no longer get its much anticipated faster charging, the first courtesy started there.
But now two major sources have confirmed some further bad news. Well the other bad news is that, the Galaxy Note 10’s new camera design is a mess, according to the XDA Developer’s reliable insider Max Weinbach and the untouchable Steve Hemmerstoffer. Thy stated this in a pair of independent tweets. According to the sources, Weinbach stated,
“I think the Note 10 Pro is going to look MUCH worse than people think with current concept designs. Like much much worse.” And when challenged on that, responded: “Dude you have no idea”.
When asked if the Galaxy Note 10 design was “an improvement or a step back from the S10+?” Hemmerstoffer was similarly downbeat:
He revealed: “It looks bad compared to Galaxy Note9 rear camera design.IMO at least.”
If both Weinbach and Hemmerstoffer are correct, and we know they usually are, this would be a badly timed error from Samsung. Obviously, the value of a smartphone is more than what’s on the outside. And this was Samsung’s chance to capitalize on Apple’s design monstrosity, because of the Apple’s new iPhones will have an objectively awful camera design.
But we cannot ignore that, with next-gen storage, upgraded RAM and the fastest charging the Galaxy Note 10 is still a powerhouse internally. Also we know that Galaxy Note 10 will be Samsung’s first “key less” smartphone. Of course, if we look deeper into the phone because Samsung has never put these amazing qualities into a smartphone, before. There are also some display changes buyers should appreciate.
But after this bad news a good news also awaits for the Samsung lovers that If the Galaxy Note 10 turns out to be a missed opportunity just wait, as Samsung is launching a significantly more ‘creative’ smartphone soon afterwards. Consequently, after all these controversies, while some may now feel more cautious about buying the Galaxy Note 10.
