moto e6

This year, updates has been released by Motorola for its Moto G and Moto Z lines, and today Motorola introduced its latest offering in the entry-level segment, the Moto E6. The E6 is a pretty minor upgrade over the Moto E5, as Motorola has made only a few changes. However, Moto E6 is available for $149, and for this price this phone is offering you much more. Last year three different E5, E5 Play, and E5 Plus models was released, but this year E6 is the only model which is in the budget line.

The Moto E6 features a 5.5-inch Max Vision HD+ 18:9 display, it has same similar-sized bezels like its previous model. E6 runs on a more powerful octa-core Snapdragon 435 chipset, however the last year’s Moto E5 had quad-core Snapdragon 425 chipset. So, we can say the latest model is more powerful and good performance than the previous one. You will get 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of storage, and by using a microSD card you can extend the storage up to 256 GB.

Talking about the optics, a 13 MP rear camera with 1.12µm pixel size and an f/2.0 aperture is present in this latest model. Motorola has also added a few premium features to the Moto E6, to increase the camera experience for users like spot color and portrait mode. The portrait mode feature is also present in the 5 MP selfie camera present on the front.

The battery of the Moto E6 has been bumped down to 3,000 mAh instead of 4,000 mAh. However, the battery is removable, and this fact is will surely be appreciated by its users. The other fact is that this phone does not have a fingerprint scanner, and this is quite disappointing. A microUSB port is present instead of the USB-C port in this smartphone, and we think its more convenient. It will be more preferable by most of the users as they will have   microUSB chargers at home.

The Moto E6 comes with the P2i nano-coating, and thus it comes with a water-repellent design similar to the expensive Moto G7. In the U.S, The Moto E6 will be available later today for $150 via Verizon Wireless. You can also get it by this summer from other carriers like by other carriers including T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Boost Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Consumer Cellular, and Xfinity Mobile. The unlocked variant of the phone will be available on Amazon.com, Best Buy, B&H Photo and Walmart.
