Google today have added new voices to Google Assistant in nine more countries while it is currently available in 11 English voices in USA including John Legend. Google Assistant was initially launched at seven languages in 2017 and is today available in more than 30 languages.

The list of new voices of nine languages is given below

  1. German,
  2. French,
  3. Dutch,
  4. Norwegian,
  5. Italian,
  6. Korean,
  7. Japanese,
  8. English in the U.K
  9. English in India.

All the new voices will roll out next week and were built with Deep Mind’s state of the art, WaveNet technology which will make them sound natural, with great pitch and pace.

If you want to test out any of these languages, simply go to your settings in Assistant app, select the color rather than gender from the new unique voice display and tap anywhere to begin it.

There is a equal chance of getting one of two voices—either the “red” voice or the “orange” voice.

Google wants more people to experiment with the different voices so if you live in one of the countries that is getting a new voice, you will notice that a random voice has been assigned to you when you first set up your Assistant.

As lot of people don’t always stick with one voice so giving a new voice a try would not only be more interesting but may be possible that you will find a new voice more compelling than that of existing one that you are using.

Google have not mentioned whether all these new voices will be available on both Android and iOS platforms but we are expecting that these new voices will be available on both.
